While talking about the Bollywood film industry many are rightly of the opinion that for most of the film functions, 'Planning' is a word that doesn't seem to exist in most film people's dictionaries.

So it is not unusual for invitations to a premiere show reaching guests minutes before the show is to start. But there are very few exceptions and we are talking here about the superstar Amitabh Bachchan. It is learnt that Amitabh Bachchan has sent out premiere ‘intimations' a good eleven days in advance to his guests. The premiere is to take place on December 3rd at a Mumbai multiplex.

A Bollywood insider states, "In Bollywood one hardly does receives advance intimation for a premiere. Secondly, in the rare case that one does, it comes only a couple of days before the premiere, not exactly eleven days earlier!

Besides speaking for the meticulous planning of Bachchan, the well-worded letter, signed personally by him, also underscores the fact that he values other people's time as much as he values their presence at the premiere."

Little wonder, the industry people say, "There is no substitute for Mr. Amitabh Bachchan."
